The Georgia State Patrol was called to an accident that occurred on Georgia Highway 15 in Clayton on Monday, February 17.
Around 1:00 p.m. on Monday afternoon, 71-year-old Terry H. Tuck was riding a bicycle on Rickman Airfield Road going west toward Georgia Highway 15. Tuck failed to stop at the stop sign for the intersection and continued on into traffic.

Once he was in the northbound lanes of Georgia Highway 15, he was rear-ended by a vehicle.
55-year-old Rebecca Tally of Tiger was driving her 2004 Jeep Cherokee on northbound Georgia Highway 15 when Tuck pulled into her path.
The impact between the bicycle and the Jeep occurred in the left northbound lane of Georgia Highway 15. Tuck was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident due to the injuries he sustained from the Jeep.
There were no specific details as to the extensive injuries that Tuck endured from the accident.
In the state of Georgia, bicycles are considered the same as motor vehicles and must abide by the same laws. These laws include traffic signals, stop signs, and yielding the right-of-way.
Helmets are not required unless a rider is 16 years of age or younger. There was no indication in the report that Tuck was wearing a helmet at the time of the accident.
According to the Georgia State Patrol, Tally suffered minor injuries and was transported via ambulance to Mountain Lake Medical Center for treatment.
