CONTRA COST, CA – Troopers with the California Highway Patrol say at least one person was killed after an unknown object was hit by several vehicles on Kirker Pass Rd
According to a tweet from the CHP, the collisions occurred shortly before 8:10 p.m. at the intersection of Kirker Pass Road and Nortonville Road.

The attached traffic log stated a grey BMW and two other cars struck the unknown object in the right shoulder of the roadway. No one in the BMW was injured, however, authorities confirmed at least one fatality.
The southbound lanes of the roadway were shut down while emergency crews worked the scene.
