SANTEE, CA – One man was killed after driving the wrong way on a busy Santee Street last Friday evening.
According to Fox 5 San Diego, the accident occurred along Mission Gorge Road near the intersection with Cottonwood Avenue at about 6 p.m.

Investigators say the 59-year-old male driver of a 1984 Toyota pickup truck crashed head-on into a 2003 Acura while driving in the oncoming lanes.
The driver of the Acura was rushed to a local hospital where he succumbed to his injuries a short time later. The man responsible sustained multiple fractures but is expected to survive. No word on his identity or what charges he may face has been made available at this time.
