LONG BEACH, CA – A Long Beach man was killed after being struck by a hit-and-run driver along the Pacific Coast Highway in late December.
According to the OC Breeze, the accident occurred along the highway near Harbor Avenue at about 8:20 a.m.

Officers discovered 62-year-old James Herbert Lee Jones with serious injuries at the scene of the crash. He was rushed to a local hospital where he later succumbed to his injuries almost a week later.
Police believe Jones was walking in the designated crosswalk at the time of the accident.
No identifying information with regard to the driver involved has been released at this time. However, police believe he was driving a blue Honda Civic.
