LONG BEACH, CA – Firefighters in Long Beach have reported a single fatality resulting from a pedestrian accident along Wardlow Road last Wednesday night.
According to the Orange County Breeze, the accident occurred around 10:30 p.m. when a female pedestrian was struck by a 2007 Mercedes. Emergency crews attempted life-saving measures on the woman before she was rushed to the hospital where she succumbed to her injuries.

Investigators believe the unidentified woman was walking outside of the designated crosswalk when she was struck by the Mercedes driven by a 65-year-old woman. The driver stopped to render aid to the woman and is cooperating with the investigation
Police do not believe drugs or alcohol played a role in the crash at this time.
The identities of those involved are being withheld pending further investigation.
