LOS ANGELES, CA – A man was struck and killed while he was standing on an embankment near the 110 Freeway in Watts Friday afternoon.
The accident occurred along the southbound lanes of the 110 Freeway near the off-ramp to Century Boulevard at about 2:53 p.m., according to My News LA.

Investigators believe a 23-year-old man from Los Angeles lost control of his vehicle and careened off the side of the roadway and struck multiple trees before fatally hitting the pedestrian. The pedestrian, a 50-year-old male from Los Angeles was pronounced deceased at the scene of the crash.
Investigators are working to determine an official cause of the collision at this time. No charges have been filed against the driver involved as of yet.
