LONG BEACH, CA – One woman was killed after being struck by a hit-and-run driver in north Long Beach Tuesday night.
According to the Long Beach Post, the woman was struck while crossing Atlantic Avenue at Market Street shortly after 8 p.m.

Investigators believe the driver of a red sedan struck the woman at a high rate of speed before immediately fleeing the scene of the crash. She was pronounced deceased at the scene of the crash a short time later.
No further identifying information with regard to the driver responsible for the crash or their vehicle has been released at this time.
