The driver killed in a head-on collision on Monday has been identified on Wednesday, September 30th, as a famous Petaluma chef and restaurateur, Todd Shoberg, 42. The crash happened in west Marin County, California.
The victim, who worked as an executive chef at Brewsters Beer Garden, crashed his station wagon against a big rig truck on Point Reyes-Petaluma Road around 9:10 a.m. Shoberg died from his injuries while the driver of the truck received treatment for moderate injuries.

The California Highway Patrol stated in the accident report that the occurrence led to the closure of the affected roadway for several hours. They did not release any additional information, but the collision is under investigation.
Shoberg’s Petaluma Boulevard restaurant stated that the loss saddens them. The victim was a professional mountain bike rider and was the chef/owner of Molina in Mill Valley before moving to Petaluma to work at Brewsters.
The restaurant described the victim in a social media post as a legendary man who blessed the world with exquisite food, impeccable music, world-class riding skills, and an enormous love of life. They added that he had a style and finesse that would remain unmatchable.
