BAKERSFIELD, CA – A female pedestrian was struck and killed following an east Bakersfield collision last Friday night.
According to a report by Bakersfield Now, the crash occurred on June 18th shortly after 10 p.m. at the intersection of East Truxtun Avenue and Haley Street.

Police believe the unidentified victim was pushing a shopping cart in the middle of the roadway when she was struck. She was pronounced dead at the scene moments later.
The driver involved in the crash was seen taking a field sobriety test. However, police do not believe impairment played a role in the fatal crash.
