On Wednesday, July 8th, the Murrieta Police Department arrested a suspected DUI driver who drove his car into a business district in Murrieta, California. Victor Eagleson, 72, would need the expertise of a drunk driving attorney.
Facts from the accident report revealed that calls about the crash came in at about 11:28 a.m. from the 30000-block of Antelope Road near the Menifee Line. The MPD placed Eagleson behind the wheel of a red Toyota Tacoma that rear-ended a silver Volvo sedan, before driving into a hearing-aid studio in a commercial business center.

The car then went through a dividing wall into a dance studio, and from there, crashed into a dental office. No one in the offices sustained injuries, but one unidentified person in the Volvo suffered unspecified wounds and received treatment in a hospital.
The police determined that Eagleson was under the influence of alcohol and took him into custody. There is currently no information on his bail bond.
A drunk driver under the California Penal Code is a person who gets behind the wheel of a vehicle while intoxicated with alcohol or drugs. DUI is a severe offense in the state, and prosecutors try it either as a misdemeanor or felony, depending on the facts of the case.
A person found guilty of the offense faces time in prison, payment of a fine, compulsory alcohol re-education program, and suspension of driving privileges. Drivers can avoid the preceding by driving without impairment, and ensuring they seek alternative means of transportation when impaired.
