ESCONDIDO, CA – A 47-year-old woman was killed in an accident in Escondido on Tuesday morning, the Times of San Diego reports.
The San Diego resident was driving in the 800 block of Bear Valley Parkway in Escondido when she lost control of her Nissan Maxima. She left the roadway and crashed into a nearby tree.

There were no witnesses to the accident. Another driver reported the wreckage to police around 3:45 a.m. and they arrived to find the woman dead.
It is currently unclear what caused the woman to lose control of her vehicle.
