SAN DIEGO, CA – A driver who survived a rollover accident on I-5 was killed by another vehicle as he climbed out of the wreckage on Sunday night, ABC 10 reports.
The fatal crash occurred around 9 p.m. on the northbound side of I-5, near the I-8 interchange. The victim was involved in a prior rollover crash and, as he was getting out of his vehicle, was struck by another passing car.

The person who was struck died at the scene. The driver who hit him fled the scene and continued down the highway.
No information is available on the cause of the initial crash. No other injuries have been reported.
