CHP troopers believe the driver of a white Lexus rear-ended a second vehicle. The force of the initial impact sent the Lexus over the center divider, trapping the driver inside.
As crews extricated the driver from the Lexus, several beer cans appeared to fall out of the vehicle. The individual was taken to the hospital where he was expected to be evaluated for DUI.
The other driver involved in the crash was unhurt.
