BAKERSFIELD, CA – A suspect driving a stolen car crashed into a utility pole and caused a power outage in the Lamont area last week, local news reports.
The driver lost control of the vehicle around 1 a.m. near the intersection of Panama and South Fairfax Roads before leaving the road and striking the pole.

The driver was hospitalized with severe injuries. Police suspect that he was speeding when he hit the pole.
