CHIRIACO SUMMIT, CA – California Highway Patrol officials say a driver was airlifted to the hospital after rolling off Interstate 10 near Chiriaco Summit on Sunday evening.
According to My News LA, authorities were alerted of the crash at the I-10 West off-ramp to Cottonwood Springs Road and Box Canyon Road at 9:38 p.m.

Crews discovered a Honda Accord had crashed off the freeway ramp and rolled roughly 50 feet.
CHP said the driver was pinned in the vehicle with moderate injuries. Riverside County firefighters successfully extricated the patient before a Mercy Air Ambulance arrived to transport them to the hospital.
At this time, no further details regarding the cause of the accident have been released.
