The authorities on Monday, April 27th, identified the man who died in an auto-motorcycle accident in Concord, California. The Contra Costa County Coroner’s Office released the deceased’s name as David Hopfner, 20, and his family might hire a motorcycle accident attorney if they want to get compensated.

The preliminary accident report showed that Hopfner was heading west on Clayton on his motorcycle when a driver identified as a 46-year-old Pittsburgh resident struck him. The young man lived long enough to make it to the John Muir Medical Center, where he passed away while undergoing treatment.
The CPD said that the unnamed driver stayed at the scene and cooperated with them. They did not state if he or she was negligent in any way of if criminal charges would follow. The investigation is ongoing, and there’s no additional information at this time.
Negligence is the bedrock of all criminal and civil lawsuits a person faces when an accident occurs. Prosecutors must show beyond a reasonable doubt that the negligent act of one led to the severe bodily harm or death of another.
In civil actions, the plaintiff must, on a preponderance of evidence, prove that the defendant’s negligent actions led to a personal injury or wrongful death. In either case, when it’s an auto-motorcycle accident, those involved should acquire the services of a motorcycle accident attorney.
