A Crystal Falls resident tragically lost his life as the result of a snowmobile accident on Tuesday. His name has since been released, as the investigation into the specific cause of the crash continues.
The name of the Crystal Falls man is Jason Clark, 42. The horrible tragedy happened Tuesday on Trail 113 in Crystal Falls.

42-year-old Jason Clark was declared deceased at the scene when his snowmobile hit a tree during a ride along Trail 113.
The accident is still subject of a law enforcement investigation.
Based on information provided by the Iron County Sheriff’s Office, law enforcement officers were called to the scene of an accident involving a snowmobile striking a tree on Trail 113 south of Superior Avenue in Crystal Falls at 9:17 p.m. local time on Tuesday.
Initial information provided by local law enforcement revealed that the 42-year-old male driver of the snowmobile was traveling northbound on Trail 113 when he failed to properly maneuver ahead of a curve, and subsequently hit a nearby tree and was tossed off of his snowmobile.
The sheriff’s office announced that, unfortunately, he died at the scene.
The crash is still under investigation and no further details have been made available as of the writing of this article.
Deputies were assisted by the Michigan State Police Accident Investigators, Iron County Search and Rescue, Aspirus EMS, Nash Funeral Home, and Iron County Central Dispatch.
