ESCONDIDO, CA – Two construction workers suffered serious burns in a flash fire while renovating a building in Escondido Tuesday afternoon, reports the San Diego Tribune.
It is unknown at this time what ignited the fire. It occurred around 3:30 p.m. in the 1900 block of Commercial St.

Four people were inside the building when it ignited, two of them were injured. The structure suffered minimal damage from the fire.
The two injured workers were taken to UCSD Medical Center.
Investigators are still trying to determine the cause of the fire.
