CHULA VISTA, CA – A participant in an illegal street race killed a grandmother Saturday after slamming into her vehicle on Saturday, reports 10 News.
Martha Bertha Villalobos Romo, 57, was driving on 3 Avenue around 6 p.m. with two children in the backseat when a Mustang ran a red light and collided with Romo’s car.

First responders pronounced Romo dead at the scene and hospitalized her two grand children with minor injuries.
Officers arrested the driver of the Mustang and are still looking for the person he was racing. They are believed to have been driving a white Subaru.
