On February 13th, near Mayer, Arizona, a woman died in a rollover car crash. She was travelling at a very high rate of speed and sustained life-ending injuries when her car flipped over. After hearing the news, her boyfriend shot himself nearby in a public location.

The accident took place on Route 69. It was a terrible tragedy and the community will mourn the loss of both of these individuals, just one day before Valentine’s Day.

Currently, police are still investigating to try and figure out whether or not factor such a distraction, impairment, or medical issues played a role in the accident that ended the woman’s life.

However, despite the fact that exact cause of the rollover accident is not known, it appears to be primarily grief and shock that resulted in the suicide of the girlfriend’s boyfriend. Following the accident, route 69 was shut down for several hours so that police could investigate the scene of the accident, collect evidence, and clear debris from the road. Several hours after the police finish their work, the road was re-opened to normal traffic.

Medical workers were unable to resuscitate either the man or the woman involved in this double tragedy. Their families are mourning their losses and both individuals will be missed by many people.

If you have any information about this accident that you believe would be valuable for the police to know, please feel free to get in contact with the police department in this area.
