POINT LOMA, CA – A suspected human-smuggling boat capsized Sunday, killing at least three and injuring several others, reports Grunt Stuff.
The vessel hit a reef near the Level Loma peninsula and began to capsize. As this was happening, dozens of people jumped overboard.

22 people managed to make to shore on their own. Emergency crews rescued 7 people from the water and one person from a cliff.
Of the survivors, 27 were hospitalized. Three people died at the scene of the accident.
