Authorities believe the bicyclist attempted to cross the ramp in order to stay on S Lakeview Ave.

Just prior to reaching the pedestrian crossing, the man suffered fatal injuries when he was struck by an Infiniti Sedan trying to enter the highway.

Olivera said the victim was wearing dark clothing, which potentially made it difficult to see him in the dark and rainy conditions.

The driver of the Infiniti, a 67-year-old Anaheim woman, remained at the scene and cooperated with police. Investigators did not believe alcohol or drugs played a role in the accident.
