LA JOLLA, CA – A 34-year-old woman was killed in La Jolla Wednesday when she bicycle was struck by a car, the San Diego Union Tribune reports.
The victim was riding on North Torrey Pines Road when she attempting to merge lanes and was hit from behind by a man driving a Mercedes-Benz.

The cyclist died at the scene. Police are investigating but do not believe drugs or alcohol were involved.
