BAKERSFIELD, CA – A man from Bakersfield and his dog were found dead following a single-vehicle collision on Highway 178 Tuesday morning.
According to KGET, the unidentified man lost control of his vehicle on SH-178 in Bakersfield, careened off the roadway, and down a steep embankment.

The 44-year-old man was reported missing for several hours before his vehicle was discovered. Police believe he was not wearing a seatbelt and was ejected from the vehicle as a result.
