The driver then crashed into a white Toyota Corolla with a single occupant and went on to hit the back of a gray 2018 Nissan Murano, with five people inside. The vehicle collided with the center divider wall and a Dodge Ram crashed into it on the right side.
The CHP said the teenager was sitting on the right side of the back seat of the Nissan and ended up with fatal injuries. The chain reaction collision continued with a Toyota Corolla pushing into the back of a white Honda Odyssey, and the latter collided with a blue Honda CRV.
The CRV struck a silver Toyota Corolla, which went on to crash into the back of Aragon’s flatbed tow truck. A white Lexus came upon the wreck and unable to stop in time, it hit the front of the Nissan Murano.
The collisions resulted in severe and minor injuries, and the medics, using a helicopter, took all those involved — including Aragon — to USC Medical Center for treatment. The CHP also stated in the accident report that the wreckage led to the closure of 10 Freeway until about 6 p.m.
