Motor vehicle accidents are one of the leading causes of death on California roadways. They are preventable if drivers follow the safety guidelines released by law enforcement and traffic agencies from time to time.
The above covers obeying all speed limits and signs, paying attention to the road, avoiding drinking and driving, and wearing seatbelts when in transit. Before driving a car, carry out a safety check, use turn and exit signs, and always drive with headlights on at night.
When at a stop sign, spell stop before driving through an intersection, and scan the road every six to eight seconds. If the car stalls on the roadway, remain inside, call 911, and wait until help arrives.
