At about 8:50 p.m. on Sunday, September 20th, a car accident occured on the Antelope (14) Freeway in Acton, California, claiming one life. The Los Angeles County Coroner’s Office identified the victim as Allen Gaitan, a 41-year-old Palmdale resident.
The car accident report released by the California Highway Patrol disclosed that the incident took place near the Mountain Springs Road. Gaitan was behind the wheel of a 1995 Toyota when he drove off the side of the freeway, and down an embankment onto Forest View Road.

The latter is parallel to the freeway. The man suffered severe wounds which he succumbed to, and the medics took a passenger in the Toyota to the hospital to treat significant injuries. There is no update on the passenger’s identity or condition at the time of this report.
