The California Highway Patrol released more information on an accident that happened on February 21 on Grizzly Flat Road.
64-year-old Norm Dillinger has been identified as the injured party in the accident. He was taken from the accident scene to Marshall Hospital. Officials released that he had been transferred to another facility, but the name of the hospital was not being released at this time.

There has not been an update on the status of his injuries.
The accident occurred around 6:55 p.m. within a curve on the road. Dillinger was driving a Toyota Corolla northbound on Grizzly Flat Road. A 17-year-old driving a Volkswagen hatchback was driving southbound and crossed into the northbound lane.
Dillinger tried to hit his brakes and avoid the crash, but the vehicles still collided on their left sides. The force of the impact sent Dillinger’s Toyota in a counterclockwise rotation. The rear of the vehicle ended up striking the dirt embankment on the right shoulder of the road.
The teenage driver of the Volkswagen was from Citrus Heights and his name has been withheld. He did not complain of any injuries at the scene of the accident. It has not been updated to indicate if he experienced delayed injury from the accident.
Dillinger has been active on social media recently. Friends and family have been wishing him a speedy recovery from his injuries.
At this time, they do not know what caused the teen to enter Dillinger’s lane. An investigation is still being conducted regarding the accident.
There has been no mention if the teen will be facing charges for the accident. The California Highway Patrol has also not released if the teenage driver was impaired at the time of the accident.
