The accident report released by the county police showed that the motorcyclist was eastbound on Oddie before the crash. Murray collided with a blue minivan turning south on Sullivan, and the impact ejected him from his motorcycle.

The driver of the minivan remained at the scene and cooperated with the investigation. Members of the Major Accident Investigation Team (M.A.I.T.) responded at the crash site and took over the case.

The inquiry is still active, and the police said that it’s too early to tell if drugs, alcohol, or speed contributed to the collision. There is no additional information.

Auto-motorcycle accidents are among the leading causes of crash-related deaths on Nevada roadways and in the United States. Riders must protect themselves by wearing a well-fastened safety helmet and protective apparel.

Avoid speeding, operating a bike under the influence of alcohol, and splitting in between lanes. Ride defensively, avoid the blind spot of vehicles, keep riding skills honed, obey the traffic rules and regulations, and always maintain the motorcycle before and after riding.
