The update did not indicate whether Prum died from injuries sustained in the accident or an underlying medical condition. The victim crashed his car around 8 a.m. last Tuesday. He drove a 2005 Honda northbound on Orange Avenue at Warlow Road.
The police said that Prum went off the road for unknown reasons and collided with a light pole. He was the only occupant of the Honda. The investigation is ongoing to determine what led to the accident and the victim’s death. The LBPD will release another update once they have more information.
Single-vehicle collisions are not uncommon on California roadways, and several factors contribute to it. While some are the result of negligence, others like mechanical defects, adverse road conditions, and an underlying medical condition are outside the motorist’s control.
An underlying medical condition like heart defects, diabetics Miletus, or epilepsy can cause an attack that would lead to an accident. Drivers with these conditions must take due care when on the road, and seek alternative transportation when necessary.
