The vehicle run-over occurred late at night on Wednesday. It was reported to the authorities at around 11:50 p.m. The driver who ran Banes over didn’t stop. For this reason, authorities are treating the incident as a hit-and-run.

According to LAPD, surveillance video shows that a man walked over to the body and examined it before walking away. There is no evidence to suggest that the man was the driver of the suspect vehicle or was in any way involved with the hit-and-run. However, LAPD has requested that the man come forward and cooperate with the authorities to uncover the facts of the case.

Authorities also continue to look for the hit-and-run driver involved in the crash. Few facts of the incident are available for now and LAPD is yet to reveal more details. The crash remains under investigation and once the investigations conclude, we may be apprised of more facts of the case in the subsequent accident reports from the LAPD.
