The incident left Wells with critical injuries. According to the local coroner’s office, the victim succumbed to her injuries at the scene of the crash and was pronounced dead.

Details surrounding the incident are still scarce. The authorities have not confirmed, for instance, as to how the incident took place. The debris of the badly damaged vehicle that was involved in the crash was found lying in the intersection.

Following the crash, law enforcement personnel from the Torrance Police Department closed down traffic at the intersection in both directions. An advisory was also issued to the drivers to take alternative routes until the debris was cleared up and on-site investigations concluded.

The Torrance Police Department continues to investigate the incident. The focus of the investigations at this point is to determine exactly how the accident occurred. Authorities will also likely check for the involvement of drugs or alcohol to see if they contributed to the crash. A more thorough look at the incident will be possible once final accident reports are here.
