The sheriff’s office said that on Thursday, June 11th, the suspect struck a Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Office deputy and fled the scene of the accident. According to Shirley Miller, with the Santa Clarita Sheriff’s Station, deputies arrested Ramos on Thursday, July 2nd, on suspicion of theft.

Since then, the suspect has been in custody, and the investigators found out that he had two no-bail probation violations. They remanded him on a $155 000 bail bond, but there’s no information on the charges he is facing.
The crash report from June 11th showed that LACS deputies were conducting a traffic stop around 10:45 p.m. for a felony warrant suspect near Tyler Lane and American Beauty Drive. While at it, Ramos drove into the area with an SUV, struck the deputy, and fled the scene.
The police released the vehicle’s description as a gray Range Rover with Florida license plates, and they later found it abandoned at a gas station. The struck officer sustained minor injuries from the occurrence.
