Pikosky died in the evening, with the police announcing his death and also revealing his identity. Authorities are yet to release the identity of the driver of the vehicle that hit the victim. They, however, said that he has been cooperative with investigations.

There are no indications that impairment was a factor in the crash. At the moment, no one has been charged, and charges, if any, would come after investigations.

Over time, negligence and disregard for traffic signals, laws, and regulations have caused most of the pedestrian crashes. Drivers and pedestrians must pay more attention to these things to reduce the number of accidents that occur on the roadway.

Drivers must never exceed the speed limit of the roads that they use. They must always obey traffic lights and stop at red lights. They must always wait for pedestrians to cross the street before driving off.

Pedestrians must always keep to the sidewalks when walking on the road. They must avoid entering into the road dangerously and only use crosswalks when crossing the road.

Parents must always ensure that their kids do not stray into roads to avoid crashes. Victims of pedestrian collisions must file accident reports that would help authorities in their investigations.
