A multiple-vehicle crash in Hesperia, California, killed four people on Monday night, June 1st. The accident report showed that the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department identified the deceased victims as Crystal Jewel Harris, 26, of Hesperia, and Kahlil Malik Hooks, 18, of Victorville.

The police did not release the names of the other two, aged 16, from Fontana and Apple Valley, respectively. The crash report released by the California Highway Patrol revealed that the fatal crash happened around 11:11 p.m. in Hesperia Road and Lemon Street.

The investigators did not immediately release the facts of the accident. But they disclosed that it involved several vehicles, including a 2004 Dodge Ram pickup truck and a blue sedan. It is not clear the vehicle Harris and Hooks were traveling in, but they sustained fatal wounds that ended their lives at the scene.

The CHP said an unidentified person also sustained significant injuries, and the medics flew the victim to a trauma unit for treatment. There is currently no additional information about the fatal crash, and the SBCSD is heading the inquiry.

Multiple vehicle accidents involve more than two vehicles, and those involved suffer different degrees of injuries. Accident reports reveal that one or two cars often start the events that lead to this type of accident, and from there, a chain reaction ensues. Drivers can avoid multiple collisions by obeying traffic rules and regulations.
