Kent was arrested after the incident on suspicion of drunk driving. A drunk driving attorney will represent him during upcoming appearances in Jo Daviess County District Court.
Kent at 10:30 p.m. Saturday was driving behind another UTV on North Bellevue Street near South Holland Road in Warren, deputies said. As Kent attempted to navigate a tight curve, he lost control of the UTV, causing it to leave the road and roll over.
Emergency medical personnel said they airlifted Neal to Mercyhealth Javon Bea Hospital-Riverside in Rockford for treatment of serious injuries. Deyo, meanwhile, was transported to Memorial Hospital of Lafayette County in Darlington, Wis.
Authorities did not provide updated condition reports for either person Monday. Deputies did not publicly identify Kent’s third passenger, who was not wounded in the wreck.
Deputies arrested Kent on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol, failure to reduce speed to avoid a crash and operating an ATV or UTV on a roadway illegally, according to a press release. Kent’s drunk driving attorney will oversee his defense.
