Initial reports suggested the crash began when a pickup truck traveling westbound on 166 suddenly left its lanes and veered into eastbound traffic. Almost immediately, the truck sideswiped an eastbound big rig conveying dog food, and then swayed forward. The vehicle then collided head-on with another eastbound car, a Subaru driving directly behind the semi.
Pritchard got expelled from his vehicle as a result. The KCCO said he died at the scene. The two other motorists, including a 63-year-old San Luis Obispo woman identified as Karen Almas, and Ralph Seeley of Chandler, survived the crash. Paramedics transported Almas to a hospital with minor injuries suffered in the head-on collision.
The cause of the deadly occurrence is still under investigation.
Victims of traffic collisions should strive to get in touch with experienced auto accident attorneys in due time.
