No other vehicles were involved.
Fourteen other people died in traffic accidents over the Memorial Day weekend.
Many of the accidents involved motorcycles but investigators said it appeared other drivers were responsible.
Lt. Stephanie Stallings of the Georgia State Patrol said officials expected a quieter weekend because of the need for social distancing.
However, there was only a slight reduction in deaths over the previous year as residents seemingly took to the streets to enjoy the spring weather.
Last year, there were 17 deaths over the weekend compared to 15 this year.
Fatal crashes were reported in Atlanta, Gwinnett County, Cobb County, and Forest Park.
In some cases, the families of the victims may have grounds to file a wrongful death lawsuit against the other drivers or a third party.
Troopers investigated 317 accident reports this year, a reduction from the 396 recorded in 2019. GSP disclosed that the crashes resulted in 188 injuries.
Meanwhile, 317 people were placed under arrest after being suspected of driving under the influence.
GSP said troopers issued 9 536 citations and 9,714 warnings.
The holiday period ran for 78 hours.
