A man who caused an accident that injured three people in Modesto, California, would require the expertise of a drunk driving attorney. The police took Joseph Anthony Macedo, 23, into custody for DUI on Saturday, May 9th..
The Modesto Police Department did not release the cause of the crash, but they disclosed the black Honda the suspect was driving collided with another vehicle driven by a 22-year-old female driver. The impact sent the woman’s pickup into a signal light pole, leaving it wrecked.

The woman was trapped in the vehicle, and the Modesto Fire Department had to use hydraulic tools to extricate her from the car. She sustained severe but non-life-threatening injuries, and two minors with her, aged 7 and 11, did not have any wound.
The fire chief, Andrew Martin Hunter, said that the medics took the woman and the children to the hospital for treatment and medical checkup, respectively. Macedo, on the other hand, was not injured, and he fled the scene of the accident on foot.
The police tracked and located the suspect about a block away from the accident scene, and he emitted a strong alcohol odor. Lt. Jason Grogan of the MPD said that a breathalyzer test showed that the young man’s BAC level was above the legal .08 percent.
Officers arrested and booked Macedo into jail on suspicion of DUI causing injury, hit-and-run, and driving on a driver’s license revoked because of DUI. The authorities are holding the suspect on a $50 000 bail bond.
The young man has an ongoing case in the Stanislaus County Superior Court for DUI and driving on a suspended or revoked license. He would need a drunk driving attorney to represent him in both cases.
