One of the accident reports from St. Joseph County, Michigan, revealed that the authorities identified the young woman who died in a single-vehicle crash. The police released her identity as Karly Bingaman, 19, of Three Rivers, on Wednesday, April 29th.

The crash that took the teenager’s life took place on Tuesday, April 28th, in the 56000-block of Covered Bridge Road in the county’s Nottawa Township. The preliminary investigation uncovered that Bingaman was heading north on the bridge when for unknown reasons, she veered off the roadway.

The act caused the deceased to strike a tree, leaving her with extensive fatal injuries. There was nothing the medics and the first responders could do for Bingaman, and they pronounced/ her dead at the scene. No other car or person was involved in the tragic crash.

The police do not believe that drugs, alcohol, or a combination of both played a role in the accident. The investigation is ongoing, and they will provide an update at a later date.

Single-vehicle crashes are not uncommon in Michigan, and the factors that lead to it are the same as other forms of accidents. Based on accident reports, these factors include speeding, drunk and reckless driving, running red lights, and taking curves extremely fast.

Distracted driving in forms of texting, calling, eating, and having heated discussions also cause single-vehicle crashes. Traffic officials advise motorists, especially young drivers, to keep their focus while driving and obey the rules of each roadway.
