The family of a man who lost his life in an accident in downtown Augusta, Georgia, will not require the services of a bicycle accident attorney. The victim, DeOndrae Arrington, 43, lost his life in a fatal collision on Thursday, April 9th.
The Richmond County Coroner, Mark Bowen, ruled the cause of death as blunt force trauma suffered at about 4:20 p.m.; there will be no further autopsy. The accident report showed that Arrington was riding his bicycle north on Lockhart Lane when he met his end.

The deceased failed to stop at an intersection with Broad Street and struck the side of a car traveling west in the 1900-block of the street. The report did not mention the driver of the vehicle.
When an accident occurs, the liability often lies on the part of the driver whose negligence caused it. However, in some crashes, like that of Arrington, the victim’s negligence caused the accident.
When it’s the latter, and a lawsuit ensues, the court will look at the facts of the case to determine that the victim was at fault. If an error gets established, then the victim would not get awarded any compensation, and the case would get dismissed.
When the driver and the victim share the blame, and the latter choose to sue, then the driver can raise a defense of contributory or comparative negligence. When this happens in a bicycle accident, then a bicycle accident attorney would be useful to both parties to prove their assertion.
