A bartender at the World of Beer was arrested on Sunday night for overserving Zachary Castro on January 26. Castro was also a bartender at the World of Beer but was not working at the time of the accident.

Miguel Rizo has been arrested for overserving Castro after it is highly evident on surveillance video that he was intoxicated while he was there.

The video shows Castro stumbling and staggering around the bar. When he goes to leave, he even has trouble getting outside of the door.

Rizo has been charged with two misdemeanor liquor violations. These include providing alcohol to an already intoxicated person and permitting an intoxicated person to remain on the premises. If he is convicted, he faces jail time.

The original story occurred at the end of January. A group of good Samaritans stopped for a disabled vehicle on the side of the road. When they got to the vehicle, they found it was unoccupied, but not before a drunk driver barreled through all of them.

One of the innocent bystanders, Mayra Ospina, was pronounced brain dead at the hospital. Her boyfriend Luis Ramirez was also in the accident and survived. He has spent many weeks in the hospital for his injuries.

Ramirez was finally able to go home in February.

Castro is no longer an employee at World of Beer following the accident. Ramirez has filed a lawsuit against the World of Beer and their involvement in the accident.

Castro states that he drank six beers and four shots before leaving the establishment.

Castro was originally charged with intoxication assault for the accident, but it has been upgraded to intoxication manslaughter due to the death of Ospina.

The lawsuits are still ongoing. Updates will be made available as they are released to the public.
