Prior to this warrant, Minick had only been charged with a citation for failure to reduce her speed to avoid an accident.
The accident occurred around 5:37 p.m. on October 12, 2019, on River Road. According to the reports, Minick’s sedan was driving west on River Road when she struck the hay wagon that was carrying 14 adult passengers from behind.
There were 11 passengers on board that had to be taken to the hospital for injuries ranging from minor to serious. Minick had been treated and released at the scene.
The driver of the tractor was 48-year-old, Gary M. Sleezer. He was issued a traffic citation for driving a tractor on the road when it was not being used for farming activities.
The power of attorney for one of the victims in the accident has filed a lawsuit against Minick. There was no specific dollar amount listed in the lawsuit just that they were seeking judgment against Minick in the amount that would adequately compensate for the injuries and the future losses.
The attorney for the power of attorney has stated that the victim will need a full range of resources available to them. They are suffering from disability and disfigurement as a result of the accident.
Beyond that, the attorneys didn’t have any other news to release about the victim at that time.
Minick’s official charges include driving under the influence and six counts of aggravated driving under the influence for the October accident.
