Upon arrival, police found Garcia yelling at a woman. When police talked to the woman, they found out that she and Garcia had been in a relationship for two and a half years but had recently broken up.

The two women had been a Little Darlins Bar prior to the altercation. Garcia got intoxicated and got angry with the other woman.

To avoid any further confrontation, the woman began to walk home along W. William Cannon Drive.

When she was walking through the fast-food restaurant’s parking lot was when she was hit by the Mustang, with Garcia behind the wheel. The affidavit states that she was hit in the right hip and it caused her to roll onto the hood and off the side of the car.

Garcia then got out of the car and grabbed the woman’s hair. She tried dragging her into the car. Her injuries were only minor in the accident caused by Garcia.

Two witnesses driving by the restaurant saw the Mustang exiting the parking lot then turn back towards it, jumped the curb and hit the woman.

Both witnesses got out of their car to help the woman. Garcia kicked the female witness in the right shoulder in an effort to get free after they separated her from the other woman.

Officers put in the report that there was evidence of the statements. The path from the road to the parking lot had signs taken down by the vehicle. There were also marks on the curb corroborating the witness’ testimony.
