Following the accident, police shut the area of the road where the crash took place. All traffic was diverted off Shea Boulevard. The road was shut down for several hours following the accident. However, it was reopened after police finished investigating and collecting evidence. All of the debris from the accident also had to be removed before traffic was allowed to flow on the road again.

Police do not currently know if inebriation or being under the influence of narcotics was a factor in this accident. All that they know is that speeding was definitely a factor.

As of right now, it is not known if any arrests have been made or if the identity of the driver of the other vehicle has been discovered.
