A woman was badly hurt in a hit-and-run, DUI incident that occurred in Spokane recently.

42-year-old Gena Belger suffered severe injuries when the pickup truck she was a passenger in slammed into the side of a building on Monday, February 10 in Spokane. Local law enforcement claimed that at approximately 9:50 a.m. local time, Ms. Belger was riding in the vehicle with 22-year-old Marrisa Alvarez-Iniguez when the driver slammed his 2015 pickup at North Division Street and West Glass Avenue. The incident occurred when, reports state, the operator of the pickup was driving recklessly and had been reportedly under the influence of alcohol at the time of the crash. Law enforcement added that the driver brazenly left the site of the accident, making this a hit-and-run incident as well.
