David Costa of Fairhaven dies after crashing car into pole, stone wall

David Costa Jr., 23, of Fairhaven, was killed Saturday morning when he crashed his car into a power pole and a stone wall in Dartmouth.

Law enforcement was called to the scene of the accident near 373 Cross Road in response to a report of a 2010 Volkswagen Tiguan having crashed into a pole and a stone wall.

Costa was extracted from the vehicle and transported to St. Luke’s Hospital in New Bedford, where he succumbed to his injuries and died.

This cause of this crash is still under investigation by the Dartmouth Police Department Crash Reconstruction Unit and Massachusetts State Detectives.
