BAKERSFIELD, CA – Crews with the Kern County Fire Department responded to alerts of a large home fire in Oildale on Thursday morning.
According to KGET, the blaze began on the 600 block of Woodrow Avenue shortly before 4:30 a.m.

One home was fully engulfed and another had only minor fire damage. Firefighters were able to quickly extinguish both fires.
Fortunately, KCFD say all residents of the home, including several children, safely escaped. At this time, it is unclear what caused the fire.
