Motor vehicle accidents can either involve one car or several others, and factors resulting from negligence or external influences result in it. Common causes of crashes include but are not limited to driving over the legal or posted speed limit, driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol, and running red lights or stop signs at intersections.
Distracted driving is also a common cause of traffic collision. It takes about three seconds for a distracted driver to crash, and distractions under this head include eating, calling, or texting. Road age, wrong-way driving, adverse road conditions, and mechanical defects also cause accidents.
Drivers can mitigate the above by desisting from them and promoting safe road behaviors. They achieve this by obeying traffic rules and regulations, prioritizing safety, driving without impairment, maintaining the speed limit, and frequently maintaining the vehicle.
