Close to the Fayette County 1150 North, the driver of the vehicle apparently lost control of the vehicle when attempting to negotiate a curve at a high speed. As he lost control, the car left the roadway and overturned.

Two of the three teens occupying the vehicle were ejected. All three sustained significant injuries. Once the paramedics and first responders arrived on the scene of the accident, the three injured teens were airlifted to an area hospital.

According to the latest accident reports, the injuries of all three are not critical. ISP continues to investigate the incident and ISP’s Traffic Crash Reconstruction Unit assisted with both on-site and off-site investigations. Formal charges against the teens are still pending and are likely to be filed once the investigations are concluded. It remains to be seen if alcohol or drugs were a factor.
